No. Your API keys are configured with trade-only permissions. CryptoAgent cannot withdraw funds from your exchange account under any circumstances.

The kill switch is a one-click emergency stop that halts all trading across all of your agents immediately. Once triggered, no trades are placed until you manually restart. There is no automatic resume. The kill switch is available on all tiers and all risk profiles.

Q · 06What is the circuit breaker and how does it work?

The circuit breaker is an automatic safety mechanism that monitors your portfolio value against its peak. If your portfolio drops below your drawdown threshold (set by your risk profile), all trading halts automatically. The peak value only moves upward as your portfolio grows, so your protection level increases with your gains. Once triggered, trading does not resume until you manually review and restart. You cannot override or disable the circuit breaker.

Q · 07Will CryptoAgent guarantee profits?

No. Cryptocurrency trading involves significant risk and past performance does not indicate future results. CryptoAgent executes trades autonomously based on its signal analysis, but no algorithm can guarantee profits in all market conditions. The guard-rail system is designed to limit losses, not eliminate them.

Every agent must pass our multi-factor screening process before listing, covering liquidity depth, pattern reliability, mean-reversion behaviour, correlation stability, and exchange coverage. Assets that don't meet the threshold aren't offered. We continuously evaluate new candidates and add agents when they qualify.

Q · 16Does CryptoAgent trade 24/7?

Yes. As long as your machine is running with a stable internet connection, your agents monitor and trade around the clock. If your machine goes offline or loses connectivity, no trades are placed and your existing positions remain on the exchange. CryptoAgent resumes trading when you restart it.

Q · 17How does the HMRC tax reporting work?

Every trade is logged with full cost basis from the first execution. CryptoAgent applies Section 104 pooling, same-day and 30-day matching rules automatically. At any point you can export a Capital Gains Summary formatted for Self Assessment or hand it to your accountant. No spreadsheets, no third-party tax tools.

Q · 18What exchanges are supported?

Binance, Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken, and KuCoin. You choose which exchange to trade on, set any one as your primary trading platform in Settings. The others provide supplementary market data automatically. Binance is the recommended default due to the lowest trading fees, but all five are fully supported for live trading. If your preferred exchange is not listed, please use the contact form or email it to us directly and we can add it as a future enhancement.

Q · 19Does CryptoAgent charge per-trade fees?

No. CryptoAgent charges a flat monthly subscription with no additional fees per trade. However, your chosen exchange (Binance, Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken, or KuCoin) will charge their own trading fees on every transaction; these are set by the exchange, not by CryptoAgent. Exchange fee schedules are available on each exchange's website. CryptoAgent factors exchange fees into its profit and loss calculations automatically.

Q · 20How does the free trial work?

Sign up with your email, no payment required. You get 7 days of full functionality in paper trading mode, making real decisions against live market data with virtual money. All risk profiles and signal streams are available during the trial. Paper trading remains a permanent feature after you subscribe.

Q · 21Do you offer loyalty rewards?

Q · 24What are the system requirements?

Any modern Windows 11 PC with 16GB RAM, a 256GB SSD, and a stable internet connection. CryptoAgent is lightweight, it runs comfortably alongside your normal applications. A dedicated mini PC is ideal for 24/7 operation but not required.

Q · 25What internet connection do I need?

CryptoAgent uses lightweight WebSocket connections to exchange APIs, so bandwidth requirements are minimal. Any stable broadband connection is sufficient. A wired ethernet connection is recommended over WiFi for reliability, and a fibre connection is ideal for consistent low latency. Mobile hotspots and satellite connections are not recommended due to higher latency and connection drops which may cause missed trades or delayed execution. If your connection drops, CryptoAgent pauses trading automatically and resumes when connectivity returns.

Q · 27What happens if my machine goes offline?

CryptoAgent stops trading. No internet connection means no market data and no order execution. When your machine comes back online and you restart CryptoAgent, your agents resume monitoring and trading. CryptoAgent does not start automatically after a system reboot; you need to log into your machine and launch it manually. Open positions on the exchange are unaffected by CryptoAgent being offline; they remain on the exchange as placed. If you need to close positions while CryptoAgent is offline, you can do so directly on your exchange's own interface as normal.
